The Institute of Labour is the educational center of the National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova, serving as a provider of educational services that offer comprehensive courses on trade union and professional training. Additionally, the institute plays a significant role in applied research within the trade union and socio-economic sectors, organizing public events and social dialogues.

The Institute of Labour focuses on improving work conditions and workplaces through multidisciplinary studies and offers services in education, research, catering, hospitality, and the organization of various events.

The primary goal of the institute is to identify scientific and practical solutions to current labor issues, working conditions, and the professional life of individuals, thereby becoming the cornerstone of the trade union educational system and the training of trade union leaders.

Professional training includes:

• Legislative and regulatory frameworks, as well as the fundamental principles of trade union activities;

• Areas of activity, management, and effective resource management within a trade union;

• Social dialogue at the enterprise level, including techniques and tactics for negotiating collective labor agreements (CCM).

The main purpose of the Institute is to provide modern and accessible trade union training, with emphasis on the following objectives:

• Coordination and implementation of the scientific and educational methodology of the CNSM’s educational system;

• Development of continuous training programs for union officials and activists, as well as thematic programs;

• Training of national-level trade union leaders and activists;

• Providing methodological assistance for conducting training at various levels;

• Studies, sociological surveys, analysis, and scientific research in areas of trade union interest.

Currently, the Institute of Labour has achieved:

• Over 200 courses in Occupational Health and Safety (SSM);

• More than 4,000 first-level SSM trainees;

• Over 1,000 second-level SSM trainees.
